Welcome Martina! Oh boy, I can only imagine the level of excitement at your place - less than a month until the Most Magical Place on Earth. Perhaps you're skipping around the house, singing along with Princess Tiana - I'm almost there!
Now, let's discuss actually getting there. There are
three main options, a taxi or ride share, a bus or shuttle, or renting a car and driving yourself.
Many companies, such as
Mears Connect, offer bus shuttle services between Orlando Airport and Disney Resort hotels. You can pre-book this from home. If your party size might not fit into even the largest rideshare, such as Lyft, this might be a good fit for you. Also, if you have little ones but aren't planning on lugging along car seats, they are not a requirement for these bus services.
Rideshares and taxis sometimes offer better value for smaller groups than a shuttle, and as they are only taking your party, the direct service might be quicker. You can download apps in advance to book such services, such as the Lyft App. When on Walt Disney World property, you'll also be able to book the iconic
Minnie Van through the Lyft app to get around - handily, these also have car seats ready to go.
The final option is car rental. We have enjoyed the flexibility of having our own car at Walt Disney World and avoiding the trials and tribulations of booking taxis. Please know that Disney Resort Guests receive complimentary parking at their Resort and at the Theme Parks. This being America, large vehicles are available to accommodate large family groups.
One final thing to note, Martina, once you are at Walt Disney World, all transport to and from the Parks from your Disney Resort hotel is complimentary too. Be that the
Skyliner or a ferryboat, it's all part of the Disney Magic.
I hope this information helps and that you have a safe journey and magical time at Walt Disney World - if you need anything further, please pop back. Wishing you nothing but blue skies and sunshine, Louise.
