I will be travelling with my family (17 people) to WDW in June 2011. My parents will be celebrating their 50th Wedding Annivesary and was hoping to get some suggestions of something special (the Disney Way) to honor them after all those years.

    Hi Michael,

A 50th Wedding Anniversary calls for a MAGICAL celebration! To celebrate as a group, I'd recommend Disney's Spirit of Aloha Show, the Hoop-De-Doo Musical Revue (HDDR), the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage (P&P) or the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party. They pay special recognition to those celebrating something special so tell them when making reservations.

For a personal touch, contact the Disney Floral & Gifts Dept. They can help with an in-room celebration or a special delivery to a dining location. Visit them online at or call 407-827-3505.

If you want to schedule something romantic for the 2 of them, book a horse drawn carriage ride at Ft Wilderness or Port Orleans Riverside Resort. Call 407-WDW-PLAY. For an extra special dinner for the 2 of them, Victoria & Alberts at the Grand Floridian is off the charts amazing!

When making Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs), be sure to tell mention that you'll be celebrating their 50th anniversary. Dinner at California Grill timed to see the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom rocks! Let me know if you need other suggestions. You can order a special anniversary cake by calling 407-827-2253.  ADRs are required & cakes must be ordered at least 48 hours prior to your reservation.

Wishing you many magical memories :-)
