HI All Travelling with DW DD 3 and DS 5mos in Sept. Staying in a Studio at BLT and wondering about trips regarding cooking in our room. Just Microwave and Toaster, however, I'm sure if we're creative lots can be done. We plan to do some special meals out

    Hi Paul!

You are going to love Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort! Being able to walk and ride the monorail to the Magic Kingdom with young children is priceless. You don't have to fold your strollers, and that is awesome! You can absolutely do a lot with a microwave and toaster in your studio villa.

The easiest meal for my family to have inside the room is breakfast. We usually order groceries or if we have a car, then we'll run to a grocery store to pick up cereal, milk, muffins, bread, bagels, cream cheese, fruit, baby food, etc. The refrigerators are dorm-sized refrigerators, so there is space, but don't plan on fitting a week's worth of groceries in there. For lunch or dinner, we'll get deli meat and bread, peanut butter and jelly, hot dogs, or the macaroni and cheese bowls that can go directly into the microwave. It all depends on how many meals you really would like to have in your room. Don't forget you can also request a free cup of ice-water at quick-service locations around Walt Disney World. There are some condiments located at the Contempo Cafe, too, in packets such as butter, jelly, and ketchup.

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, then please ask away! I hope your family has a magical, fantastical vacation!
