I will be travelling down to WDW in June. We are taking 4 children ages 2-7. Any recommendations on what to do when nap time hits and we are in the park? They tend to need a nap and I figure in the hot sun, it will be even more needed. Any advice?

    Hi Kristina,

Keeping your children on their regular nap schedules will likely make your June vacation happier for everyone in your travel party.  If your kids nap at regular times, plan to head back to your resort an hour before that time.  Then you'll be at a quiet, air-conditioned place when they fall asleep.  The only thing more challenging than a tired kid is an over-heated, tired kid.  Try to avoid that when possible by returning to your designated napping spot before your little ones start to show signs of fatigue.  After their naps, spend some time splashing around in your resort pool and then head back to the Disney theme park of your choice.

I'm not sure if this will work for you, but my son used to nap in his stroller at Walt Disney World.  That would save us going back to our resort mid-day.  We'd just find a shady or air-conditioned spot to sit and relax while he snoozed in his stroller.  Then he'd awaken ready to resume his exciting Disney schedule.

Don't try to do and see everything at Walt Disney World in June.  That's a mistake that many families make.  Instead, stay well-rested, well-fed, and hydrated.  See the attractions that are most important to each of you but don't assume you can do it all.

    Have fun next month!
