I am travelling to Disneyworld with my daughter and cousin (same room), however my cousin will only be staying for 3 nights (1 day ticket) whereas my daughter and I will be staying for 7 nights and need a 3 day ticket. What is the best way to book this?

Hi there Kristy, Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with your excellent question. I'm thrilled to assist you! How exciting that you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort! You are sure to make awesome memories at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

I would suggest that your cousin create their own My Disney Experience account, if they haven't already, then adding them to your Friends & Family list. I would then suggest connecting your account to theirs on their own device. That way you will still be able to access all your plans, including Genie+ and Lightning Lane from your own account but still be able to share plans and tickets. Please note, for theme park visits beginning July 24, 2024, Lightning Lane Multi Pass will replace Disney Genie+ service, and Lightning Lane Single Pass will replace individual Lightning Lane entry.

Form your My Disney Experience accounts, I recommend purchasing your tickets separately. You'll be able to purchase your 3-day tickets, while your cousin can purchase a one-day standard date-based park ticket.

I find the easiest way to connect to the accounts of friends and family members is by using your Linking Code. To find your Linking Code, tap on the 3 horizontal lines on the bottom right of the My Disney Experience app. Scroll to the bottom of the screen then under Disney Account, tap “Profile.” Next, tap “Show My Linking Code.” The app will then prompt you with a warning explaining what the linking code is. Once someone scans your Linking Code, you’ll be added to their Friends & Family list. Next tap “Show My Linking Code.” The app will then create a unique linking code. There’s a QR version as well as a manual code that your friends and family can type in.

If your cousin wants to scan a linking code to connect to you (or you want to scan theirs) - tap on the three horizontal lines to the bottom right of the My Disney Experience app. Select “Profile” and then “Friends & Family List.” You’ll then scroll down to where it says “Add a Guest.” Follow the prompts to Scan their Linking Code. You’ll scan their linking code when they have it up on their phone, or you can manually enter the code.

Kristy, I hope you find this information helpful as you prepare for an exciting visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you again for visiting planDisney. Have a magical day!
