Hi. I am travelling to disneyland with my 2 children and my parents next month. It's my son's 7th birthday whilst we are there and I wondered how we can get to be the family that sit in the car on one of the parades. It would make my sons whole year x x

Disneyland is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday. You and the family are going to create such special once in a lifetime memories. While being selected to host a parade is a purely random process, you might have a better opportunity if you are at the gates when the park opens. Even if you cannot be in the parade there are still so many ways to make your son's 7th birthday unforgettable. Start with a visit to City Hall on Main Street U.S.A. Here you can obtain a special birthday Celebration Recognition Button as well as a special phone call from Goofy wishing the birthday boy a happy day. We also bought our kids the 'It's My Birthday' Mickey Mouse Ears. With this fancy head ware and the button on him, don't be surprised if both the friendly cast members and even random guests at the parks start wishing him a happy birthday. My kids felt like celebrities for the day. From there we took one of the Main Street Vintage Vehicles to the Plaza Inn where we celebrated My Disneyland Birthday Party with Mickey, Minnie and a few other wonderful Disney characters who took the time to come to each table and interact with the whole family. It was amazing. The kids got mini cake cup cakes and other special treats and it we got such great pictures. As I said, Disneyland is the place to celebrate special occasions because it has a way of making everyone feel more special! Have a wonderful vacation and happy birthday to the little guy.
