We will be travelling to Disney World this summer. I know that Disney sometimes raises the prices of certain table service meals during peak times. Could you let me know the dates & prices of any seasonal adjustments and which restaurants are affecte

    Hi Robert,

You are correct that Disney does sometimes add seasonal surcharges to some restaurants. I have seen no official notice about surcharges for 2012, but I can tell you about 2011. Last year, the seasonal surcharge was an additional $4.00 for adult meals and $2.00 for childrens' meals during the following time periods: President's Week, Easter Week, Thanksgiving Week, the week before Christmas until after New Year's Day, and from mid-June through mid-August.

The restaurants that were impacted were: Akershus, Biergarten, Boma, Cape May Cafe, Chef Mickey's, Cinderella's Royal Table, Crystal Palace, Garden Grill, Hollywood & Vine, Liberty Tree Tavern, 1900 Park Fare, Ohana, Trail's End Buffet, and Tusker House. You'll note that these are all restaurants where there is either buffet or family-style service. Traditional menu-based restaurants were not part of the surcharge program.

Trying checking back here in a few weeks for more information about 2012. You may also want to subscribe to the newsletters at the independent websites allears.net and disneyfoodblog.com. They will have the complete scoop as it becomes available.

    Good luck with your planning.
