Hello - I am travelling to Disney World in October to celebrate my son's 3rd birthday. What suggestions do you have to make it memorable? We plan to be at Magic Kingdom that day. Thanks :)

    Hi Leah!

Walt Disney World is the destination to celebrate all of those special moments in life and a 3rd birthday is a big reason to celebrate!  First, make sure that you stop by Guest Relations or the Front Desk at your Disney Resort and ask for the special birthday pin.  This will let all the cast members know that your son is celebrating a very special day.
For his big day,  I would suggest taking him for a visit to Disney's Pirates League.  There is a package featuring Jake from the show Jake and the Never Land Pirates.  The package includes Jake bandanna with spiked wig, light facial makeup, official Pirates League sword and sheath, treasure bag and a pirates coin necklace.  Once his transformation is complete he can join in the Adventureland Pirate Parade. The package is currently priced at $29.95 and it is an experience your son soon won't forget!  You can make reservations by calling (407) WDW-CREW.
I see that your going in October so what better way to top off his birthday pirate transformation than by attending Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  On select nights the Magic Kingdom is transformed into a playground of treats. There is a special firework show, rare character greetings and best of all LOTS of candy.  While dates have not yet been announced, they were announced last year in early May.
If you plan on dining at any table service restaurants, be sure to have it noted on your reservation.  Cast members will sometimes throw a little pixie dust into your meal.  You can also have a custom cake presented to your son at the end of the meal.  Disney makes some magnificent cakes and you are only limited by your imagination, just call (407)827-2253 and the cast members would be happy to help with your custom creation.  I hope your son has a magical birthday and please visit us again if you have anymore questions!

    Enjoy your Disney Time!
