Mom And Son On Run

Sally from NSW Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am travelling to Disney World in a month's time with a little girl who has special needs. I just want to ask someone for advice on what she will be able to do, enjoy and participate in, but can't find a way to contact Disney World itself.

    Hello, Sally!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am happy to say that Walt Disney World Resort strives to provide all Guests with a magical experience. You can contact a Disney Disabilities Specialist, who can assist you in specific details or write us back here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We have a few moms and dads that have children with special needs, and we are always hEAR to help!

My son has special needs and tours the parks in a push stroller/wheelchair, and we have found that as long as he meets the height requirements for attractions, he can experience many of them right in his chair. If your young Mouseketeer has limited mobility, then take a look at this Attraction Access Categories to find which attractions vehicles require a transfer and which ones can be accessed in a wheelchair. To reduce wait times for attractions, be sure to take advantage of the complimentary FastPass+ service included in your theme park admission. You can reserve up to three experiences per day in one park before your arrive. Using FastPass+ offers my son less time waiting in lines as well as a visual schedule of our day via My Disney Experience mobile app.

I hope you find this information helpful, and please visit us again with other questions you may have.

    Happy Planning!
