    Hi, We are travelling to Disney world in late Sept this year. I think our favourite park will be MK so was therefore thinking Disney Wilderness lodge. Is this a nice resort? Is it DISNEY enough? Otherwise shall we do 1/2 here and 1/2 at Art of Animation?

     Hi Nicole!
    I love Disney's Wilderness Lodge, the lobby is stunning which includes an 82 foot tall fireplace that shows all the different rock strata of the Grand Canyon.  You will  feel like you are staying in a lodge situated in the Pacific Northwest and it can be a relaxing retreat after a long day at the parks.  Deciding weather it is Disney enough is depending on what style of Disney your prefer.  While it does not scream Disney, there are lots of touches that certainly will not let you forget you are right in the middle of Disney World.  
    If you prefer to have Disney boldly displayed everywhere you look, then Art of Animation will be perfect for your stay.  This newest resort screams Disney from every possible place you can look and has the biggest pool located on Disney property.  The family suite rooms are completely decorated in the section where you are staying (Lion King, Cars, or Finding Nemo) and the standard rooms perfectly capture the feeling of being in The Little Mermaid.  Each section down to the landscaping is intricately themed so that you actually feel you are under the sea, on route 66 or standing at pride rock.  If you love to be boldly reminded that you are in fact at Disney World, I highly recommend this resort!
    If you are undecided about the two resorts, I suggest doing a split stay.  Disney makes it fairly easy to accomplish this and will even transport your luggage between resorts for you.  I do recommend that you stay at Art of Animation first for it's high energy fun and then try Wilderness Lodge for a more calming experience the latter part of your vacation.
