We are travelling to Disney in a weeks time and intend to use magic bands for the first time. Will the cast members at reception help us to set them up?

    Hello, Samantha!

Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you'll be traveling very soon, I hope you are sprinkled with pixie dust for your long journey!

Yes! If you are staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel you will certainly be able to ask for help from a Cast Member to set up your Disney MagicBand+ when you arrive. You can also learn more about using your band at the resort online! The bands are great for checking in at Lightning Lane entrances if you'll be using Disney Genie+ Service and quickly linking your photos from Disney Photopass Photographers across the parks. Plus, they have some amazing interactions with shows so you feel like you're part of the magic!

If you have any questions about your bands when you're in the parks you can always make a quick stop at a Guest Relations location (there are plenty of them) for some help. You can also chat with a Cast Member through the Disneyland Mobile App, which is helpful if you're in an attraction queue and have a quick question!

My family loves using Disney MagicBand+ and the Play Disney Parks app to play Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters! It's a great way to explore the planet of Batuu, plus you never know what famous (or infamous) characters you might meet. The Play Disney Parks app also has fun trivia and other activities! Just make sure you bring an extra battery for your mobile device so you don't run out of energy before the day is over.

Have so much fun on your holiday, Samantha!

    Keep moving forward!
