We (6) are travelling to the disney parks 1/1/19 for 2 or 3 nights. There will be two boys, 10&13 who have never visited the parks. Is the park hopper a better option than the single park/day? Will the parks likely max out at that time of year?

    Hi Lori!

I am so excited for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort!  And how fun to experience it alongside two kiddos that have yet to visit!  I always find it so magical and memorable to visit Walt Disney World Resort with children and with this being their first visit, the memories from this visit will last forever!

There is so much to see and do at the Walt Disney World Resort and depending on how much you want to go go go, you can probably accomplish a lot!  I am used to traveling with littles that have some difficulty waiting in lines and who can’t last all day long, but I bet tween boys will be ready to go and tackle it all!  I would recommend a Park Hopper ticket because it gives you the option to do more than one park in one day.  If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you can take advantage of Extra Magic Hours and visit one park early then head to another and then maybe even another!  With so much to see and do (and let’s not forget EAT – and I’ll bet those boys probably enjoy eating), you should certainly try to hit as many of the theme parks as you can while there!  All in all, the Park Hopper just allows for so much flexibility making it my family’s choice when we visit!

Don't forget to download the My Disney Experience app on your smartphone(s) so that you can check wait times, have access to maps and even make mobile food orders which is handy when you are trying to be efficient with your time!

Wishing you a magical and memorable vacation and remember that no matter what you get to OR don’t get to, this will be a vacation these boys won’t forget!
