We are travelling to Disney in May for the Star Wars Weekends. Please offer advice for any type of character dining choices for my 8 and 6 year old boys. They are not into the "princess" thing. Thanks!

    Hi Evelyn!

Your little Padawans are going to have such a fantastic time experiencing Star Wars Weekends at Walt Disney World! Since I have both a Padawan and a Princess myself, I can relate to your boys not wanting to partake in the Princess scene! I asked my own son, now 11, which Character Meals he has most enjoyed during our many visits over the past decade.

    His top picks include:

Chip 'n Dale's Harvest Feast dinner at The Garden Grill in Epcot's The Land Pavilion (Mickey is here too!)

Cape May Cafe for breakfast at Disney's Beach Club Resort to dine with Goofy and Donald Duck (he especially enjoys Donald Duck's antics and insistence that he's #1!)

Chef Mickey's in Disney's Contemporary Resort for any meal of the day

Tusker House for breakfast or lunch with Donald Duck, Safari Mickey and friends

Another meal to consider that's very popular with the boys is Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Fort Wilderness.

I hope that some of these options appeal to your boys Evelyn! Take a look at the online descriptions and menus and see what you think. If you find you have additional questions, come on back to visit me again! I'd love to hear from you again.

Wishing you and your family a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!

    Kirsten
