    Hi, I am travelling to Disney over Easter this year and i wondered if there were any special events taking place?

    Hi Rebecca, 

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question. We don't yet know what exciting events are planned for Easter 2016 activities at Walt Disney World Resort, but I'm sure that you and your family are in for a treat during your upcoming vacation! 

    In previous years, the highlight of Walt Disney World Resort's Easter festivities has usually been the Disney Egg-stravaganza. Guests could explore Epcot while hunting for eggs that portray Disney characters! There was also a special map and stickers that were available for purchase so you could keep track of your discoveries and then receive a special surprise once you completed the hunt. There is usually an "Egg-citing" Meet and Greet with the Easter Bunny taking place in Town Square in Magic Kingdom Park. 

    Another "Egg-stra" special experience that usually takes place during Easter is the Easter Egg Display at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. These exquisitely detailed, hand-painted and hand-carved eggs are true works of art and, of course, each design has its own unique element of Disney magic! 

    I recommend that you keep checking the Disney Parks Blog for up-to-the-minute information about events at Walt Disney World Resort. You're likely to see some posts specifically about Easter treats and events "hopping" around the Blog in the next few weeks.
