We are travelling with our children, ages 5 and 8, in early Oct. 2012. We are trying to decide which resort to stay in - looking at Deluxe, would you recommend Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom or another? Transportation to parks is key.

Hi there, Paige! All things being equal, if transportation is your tipping point, of the two Resorts you mentioned I'd unreservedly recommend Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The Wilderness Lodge is centrally located and offers easier access to Parks and activities, thanks to its multiple means of transportation, including boats and buses. It features direct boat access to Magic Kingdom, and the Transportation and Ticket Center is accessible from the Magic Kingdom dock. Additionally, buses from the Wilderness Lodge go directly to all of the Parks as well as Downtown Disney. While Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is just as beautiful and loaded with amenities as Wilderness Lodge, its location means that bus transport is the only option if you choose to rely on Disney's internal transportation. Taxis are readily available, though, and your concierge can assist you with that kind of arrangement. Have a wonderful time! See you later, celebrator, -Deborah B.
