We'll are travelling and check-in in Walt Disney World Resort at February 18th, and my son will turn 3 at February 19th...can I still considered him under 3 for the duration of your stay or do I need do buy him tickets for the parks?

Hello Graziela, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you so much for bringing us this great question today!

It sounds like you've planned quite a special birthday for your little one. The Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect place to celebrate! Be sure to pick up a free "I'm Celebrating" birthday button while you're there. If he won't wear it, you can always pin it to his stroller. You'll be amazed at all the special attention and warm wishes your birthday boy will get! You can pick up the buttons at your Resort hotel reception desk, or at Guest Relations or most retail shops in the Theme Parks.

Graziela, I have some wonderful news for you - since your little Mouseketeer will be two on the day you check in to the Walt Disney World Resort, he is considered two for your entire stay and will be Mickey's Guest the whole time! You won't need to purchase Park tickets for him, and he can eat free at most Walt Disney World buffets and family-style restaurants, as well as select table service restaurants if he eats from your plate.

If you're looking for even more magical things to do with your little one, check out this guide to planning for preschoolers on the Walt Disney World website.

I'm so glad you stopped by to see us, Graziela! Wishing you and your little prince many happy Disney days on your vacation!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
