Hi, Jean!
I really enjoy
Pop Century. I just stayed there last week and we had such a lovely stay. I really enjoy this resort. The food court is huge with a great variety, and there are 3 great pools to choose from. I also like the rooms with a lake view, so pretty!
I think the biggest advantage of staying at POP over the All-Stars is the bus situation. I like that POP has its own bus, just one stop, and no sharing with other resorts. At the All-Stars, you often times stop at all 3 of its resorts (Sports, Music, Movies).
While POP is a huge resort with about 2,500 rooms, I find the standard rooms to be pretty quiet. We stayed in the 50's building, and not only had the Bowling Pin pool right outside our door, we had a view of the lake. We enjoyed the nice walking path in the mornings, and getting a great view of the new Art of Animation just across Hourglass Lake. We also liked seeing all the huge "pop" art in front of each decade. We especially loved the giant Mickey Mouse telephone and huge Mr. and Mrs. Potato Heads - so cute!
If you want a room close to Century Hall (food court, bus stop, lobby) you will want to get a Preferred Room in the 60's section. Our room in the 50's building was a Standard Room, and about a 5 minute walk to the center of it all.
But, after my glowing review of POP you still are considering Music, you will like that, too! The advantage here is that you can visit its sister resorts Sports and Movies to see the fun going on there. The food court is nice, and you can even get a Family Suite if you want some extra space.
Whichever you decide, you will be happy I am sure! Enjoy your stay at Walt Disney World!
