Hi there Ron,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for your question! I'm happy to hear you'll be in sunny California in just a few months, and how great that you'll be able to visit the Disneyland Resort while you're there!
To visit the Disneyland Resort, you need both valid
theme park tickets and a
theme park reservation for each day you plan to visit. You can buy your tickets at any point and just need to use them before they expire - which is typically a year or more after their purchase date or within 13 days of first use, whichever comes first.
Once you have your tickets, you can then set your theme park reservations for the day(s) that you plan to visit. These park reservations can be changed at any point leading up to your originally scheduled visit on the
My Plans hub, but are subject to availability and often become available the closer you get to a specific date.
Therefore, I would strongly recommend purchasing your theme park tickets and making your theme park reservations now if you're planning on visiting the parks while you're in the area. That way, you'll know that your reservations are set for your visit and can easily change them later if your plans change.
You'll be visiting in the midst of
Star Wars: Season of the Force and Pixar Fest both happening around the Disneyland Resort. Make sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for more information on the extra magic that comes with these two seasons that you'll be able to experience during your visit!
Thanks again for your question, Ron! I hope you have a fantastic visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
