Greetings, Anabella, and welcome to planDisney! September is a great time to visit the Disneyland Resort. The weather should be nice, and there will be extra fun throughout the Resort for Halloween Time.
Anabella, unfortunately it's a little too early to confirm specifics on the entertainment schedules. Generally, this information is available on the Disneyland website and mobile app around 60 days in advance on a rolling basis. I suggest checking the
Hours & Events Calendar in mid-July to see the entertainment schedules for your September trip. You can also follow
Disneyland on Instagram and check the
Disney Parks Blog for announcements between now and then.
Here's what we do know:
- The Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration begins May 16, 2025 and will run through summer 2026.
- Halloween Time is scheduled to return August 22, 2025 through October 31, 2025. You can expect seasonal versions of favorite attractions, festively dressed characters, spirited decorations, and more!
- Select shows and performances, including parades and nighttime spectaculars, will temporarily pause to make way for seasonal entertainment offerings, then resume at later dates. For example, the “Wondrous Journeys” nighttime spectacular, which is returning as part of the anniversary celebration, will pause during Halloween Time for the "Halloween Screams" spell-ebration.
- In September 2024, there were typically Fantasmic! performances on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. However, nothing has been confirmed for 2025 – the best thing would be to check the Hours & Events Calendar as your travel dates approach.
I do have to say,
Fantasmic! is one of my favorite nighttime spectaculars, and I'll wish on a star that you will have a chance to see it. I especially love the finale when Disney friends wave hello from aboard the Mark Twain Riverboat. Keep an eye out for the hidden Mickey just as the riverboat appears! As your trip gets closer, check out the
dining packages to see if one is available for Fantasmic! With a dining package, you'll have a chance to enjoy some tasty food while also securing a premium view for the show. Also, here's a bonus tip: Make time to stop by
Mickey's House in Toontown. There's always a chance you might encounter Sorcerer Mickey in his Movie Barn! It's a perfect photo opp.
Anabella, I wish I had more specific details for you, but the best advice is to check when your trip is about two months out. If you have any other questions, please reach out. We are always happy to help here at planDisney.
Wishing you magic,
Kriss
