We're traveling with a 3 yr old and 5 yr old. Can we bring car seats onboard? We'd rather leave them at home but don't want to travel in taxis without them and aren't sure what to do. We'll be in Florida 2 days before the cruise.

Hi there, Ashley! It’s great to see you again.

I’d love to help you prepare to sail with Captain Mickey and his crew. I can’t wait for you to sample all the delicious food, experience the family-friendly entertainment, and bask in your tropical surroundings. You’ll be making incredible memories together in no time!

In fact, counting down to your adventure on the high seas is half the fun! I encourage you to download the My Disney Cruise Adventure Booklet for your young sailors. It gives them an overview of what to expect from their cruise vacation. There are also fun activities they can do before and during the cruise.

As to your question, you are welcome to bring your car seats aboard the ship. When you arrive at the port, place luggage tags on your car seats, and they will be transported to your stateroom. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much space is in your stateroom. The car seats should fit on the floor of your closet. The beds are all raised and will easily fit your suitcases.

I purchased a compact, adjustable car seat when my son was little. It was foldable and fit perfectly in my carry-on luggage. If you plan to utilize Disney ground transfers as you explore Florida, you can skip the car seats in the motorcoach. If you’re combining your stay with a trip to the theme parks, we have Walt Disney World Resort experts who’d love to help you out. Please visit us again!
