Hi , i am traveling with my 3yr old son, 5yr old daughter , husband and mother we are expected to get to disney at 3pm on jan 16 and we are staying at the comtempory hotel , which park should we go to that day and get the most out of day ? thanks

    Hi Ellen:

I love the Contemporary Resort, one of the original Walt Disney World Resorts. I still remember the wonder I felt as a six-year old staying at the Contemporary Resort and watching the monorail run right through the A-frame main tower and marveling at the lobby's 90-foot, floor-to-ceiling ceramic mural created by Disney Legend, Mary Blair.

If you are arriving mid-afternoon and want to make the most out of a park that day, your best bet would be to visit the Magic Kingdom.  The Magic Kingdom is located a short monorail ride (or a 10-15 minute walk) away from the Contemporary.  Also, the Magic Kingdom is scheduled to have late extra magic hours for Resort guests the day in question, and will be open until 2:00 a.m.  Your family may not want to stay up that late, but it should be the park that you will be able to get the "most out of" that day.

    Enjoy your vacation.
