Hi Priscilla,
It's great to see you planning Disney at planDisney again. Our name may have changed since your
last visit, but we're still a group of Guests trying to pay forward a bit of the magic Disney has given us over the years. I'll never forget the first time my toddler son laid eyes (and hands) on Winnie the Pooh and friends at
The Crystal Palace. He had a Winnie the Pooh-themed nursery and squealed with delight as he interacted with his favorite, familiar characters.
I am feeling positively Tigger-ific as I share that Guests under the age of 3 eat for free at buffet and family-style restaurants throughout Walt Disney World Resort. This good news applies to
character dining experiences like breakfast with Mickey at
Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort,
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at Disney's Riviera Resort, and
Tusker House Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Isn't that great?!
Toddlers do not pay to eat with Mickey at these locations, but Mickey still needs to know they're coming. Advance reservations for dining can be made
online 60 days in advance and should account for everyone in your party. Character dining experiences tend to book up quickly so I encourage you to be logged into your My Disney Experience account by 5:45 a.m. EST 60 days in advance. In my experience, a new day of reservations typically goes live by 6:00 a.m. EST. Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel can book for their entire length of stay (up to 10 days) 60 days before arrival. If this magical perk applies to you, you'll likely find more character dining availability towards the end of your stay.
I encourage you to check out the
planDisney video library for other great tips about traveling to Walt Disney World Resort with little ones, Priscilla. When new questions arise,
you know where to find us!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
