Traveling with a 2yr old and 10mo old. Would Pirates of the Caribean be too scary of a ride for them?

Hi Devone!  Every child is different and thus it can be difficult to gauge what might scare one and not another.  The Pirates of the Caribbean attraction does have some scary type moments especially at the beginning when you see a beach with skeletons and it is dark.  The blasting of the cannons is also another moment where children might be a bit frightened.  My 3 1/2 year old grandson has never had a problem on this ride and he has been on it since he was about 3 months old.  Children are all so different and react so differently to things.

Your two year old might hesitate and if you choose to try it make sure he is in the middle of the row between you so you can talk him through the scary moments.  Once you reach the part of the ride where there is a lot to see and music and dancing he most likely will love it.  Your ten month old would probably be oblivious to most except perhaps the cannons firing away!

You know your children best and what might affect them on different attractions.  You don't want to make a Disney experience anything but magical for them!
