We will be traveling with our 1 yr old to Magic Kingdom. We have a Smart Support Backpack that we will be using for him. My question is, are those allowed on the ride? Ideally we would like to keep him in that while we wait in line.

Hi Joseph! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort with a one year old can be such a magical time! It is so fun to see that magic through the eyes of your child on their First Visit! One of my favorite things that we did with each of our children was to get their First Haircut at Harmony Barbershop. It was truly something that created memories that will last a lifetime! Planning for Pre-School Kids and Little Ones can be so exciting! Did you know that there are 80 attractions and more that your Little One can enjoy with you?

It is my understanding that when riding an attraction with your one year old (attractions that do not have height requirements on them) he will need to be seated in your lap. I do not think that it is possible for your Smart Support Backpack to even fit on the rides and it wouldn’t be safe for him to ride in that on the rides. I am not sure if you will be able to carry him in that backpack while waiting in line for the ride. I suggest that you ask the Cast Member at the entrance of the ride if your backpack will be allowed in the queue and if so where you can store it once on board the ride. They will be able to help you!

I hope that you all have an Unforgettable visit!
