Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Olivia! Thanks for stopping by with your question. I see that your trip is coming up very quickly. It's a great time to escape the winter weather up north and head to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
I have rented strollers for many years while at the
Walt Disney World Resort, so I hope I can be of some help to you. First I will say, if you love your personal stroller and don't mind traveling with it (however you are planning to get to the Walt Disney World Resort) that is absolutely an option. As long as your stroller adheres to
the current size limitations, you will easily be able to bring it to any of the parks,
Disney Springs and all resorts.
If you are interested in renting a stroller, you have choices. First, you can
rent a stroller at the gate of the park and then return it when you are heading out for the day. With a 5-month-old, I would not recommend this as they are made of a harder plastic and in my opinion, are not as secure or comfortable for a baby compared to other strollers. These can, however, be a great option if you have a toddler or preschooler who can get in and out of the stroller on his own.
If you would like to rent a stroller that is able to recline, has straps to secure your son, and is more like what you might have at home, I would
check out Scooterbug. This outside company is the Disney Featured Provider for strollers and ECVs. Strollers are able to be delivered to any
Disney Resort Hotel and there are a variety of models available. There are also a number of other outside companies around the Orlando area that are reliable if you like to shop around.
Olivia, I hope this helps as you are putting the final touches on your upcoming trip. I wish you a pixie-dusted vacation with your little one!
Lauren
