Hello Laura,
You are just like me; I always try to schedule a totally free day into our Walt Disney World Resort vacation; a day of rest and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the Theme Parks is a good thing for both parents and children.
Have you ever spent time exploring
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort? My family just loves the gentle quietness, open spaces and slower pace of life found over at
The Fort. I often think that Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort could even be described as a vacation destination in it's own right!
When they were younger my children used to love visiting the Theme Park horses at the
Tri-Circle-D Ranch, playing swing-ball on the beach or letting off a little extra energy at the play park.
Perhaps you could rent a motorized boat from the marina, go dockside fishing or rent a bike from the Bike Barn.
A cozy round-up to your
free Disney day would be
Chip 'N Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long; absolutely perfect for a lovely family just like yours.
If I can help you further plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation next month, please don't hesitate to come back and ask me another question.
Have a great Disney day.
