.We will be traveling with a 2 year old and a 31/2 year old in April/May. We have bought the dining plan, just wondering if anyone would recommend bringing in more snacks in, did you have a collapsible cooler? Any info would be appreciated:)

    Hi, Natalie!

    Great question!  In short? YES!

When our kids were that age, we always brought our own snacks into the park, especially because we weren't on the Dining Plan.  While you will have many snacks available to those of you on the Dining Plan, you might want to keep some durable favorites on hand for those moments when a little something will keep somebody happy as you wait for a show or parade to begin or are in line for an attraction.

Folks do bring insulated bags, backpacks, etc., into the parks, so if you have a spot in a stroller to store them, by all means, do so.  Even to this day, we never enter a park without each person having a wide-mouthed refillable bottle, filled with ice (or frozen overnight if we're in a Disney Vacation Club Villa with a full kitchen) and water.  Having a cool drink and a quick snack can make all the difference in the world. You can also purchase a souvenir popcorn container in the parks, then use a snack credit for a refill as soon as you enter a park each day.  If that container was full, and we each had a drink (and fruit snacks...and crackers...and maybe a Mickey lollipop...) everyone was happy.  (What am I saying? This keeps everyone happy now, too, even though the little one is ten.)

Please send any additional questions that you may have as you plan your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! I'd love to help you get the most magic out of it!
