Hi, Camille!
I’m so glad to hear you’re planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth with your little ones. You’re going to make so many magical memories exploring the theme parks along with them!
All three of you should be able to ride together on most
attractions that your children are tall enough to experience. In many cases, you can all ride in the same row on attractions with bench-style seating, like Pirates of the Caribbean, “it’s a small world,” Mad Tea Party, and the Disneyland Railroad. On other ride vehicles with shorter rows, such as Alice in Wonderland, Snow White’s Scary Adventures, Monsters, Inc. Mike and Sully to the Rescue!, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, you should be able to sit directly behind one of your children with the second seated next to you. Attractions that seat large groups of Guests at once, like King Arthur Carrousel, Storybook Land Canal Boats, and Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, are also a good choice for your family.
Keep in mind that children ages 7 and older may ride unaccompanied on any attraction for which they meet the height requirement, so your oldest could ride in his or her own ride vehicle while you ride with your younger child if the three of you cannot comfortably fit in one together. Your 9-year-old is also old enough to ride alone if there is an attraction he or she would like to experience but your 5-year-old doesn’t want to or is not tall enough. Check with a Cast Member at the attraction queue if you have any concerns or questions.
I hope this helps you plan, Camille, and that you have a perfectly pixie-dusted visit to the
Disneyland Resort with your little Mouseketeers! Please write back with any other questions you have as your vacation approaches.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
