Hi Jessica! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
My family loves the
dining plans that are offered as part of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package! My husband and I have used them on trips with our
toddlers and infants, so I am happy to give you some tips on how to get the most value out of the plan!
We like to plan our Table-Service meals at restaurants that offer a buffet or family-style dining. These all-you-care-to-enjoy locations are perfect for traveling with little ones because kiddos ages 2-years old and under dine for free. Many of these are
Character Dining restaurants, which is an added bonus!
We try to use our snack credits (you get two per person, per night of your Disney Resort hotel stay) for our children throughout the day. This helps keep their energy up, their bellies content, and gives us a moment to rest during our busy day in the theme parks - something you will especially appreciate as a pregnant mom! I've found that with all of the excitement buzzing around us, our kids eat more with small snacks than they want to during mealtime. Keeping them fed with our snack credits, then letting them share off of our meals at mealtime, seems to be a good balance with our crew.
Of course, if you have a big eater, you can also order for him and pay for just his meal out-of-pocket, while applying your meal entitlements to your and your husband's meals. The Cast Member assisting you will be able to do that for you - just let them know when you are ordering your food.
Enjoy planning your vacation, Jessica! Happy eating!
