I am traveling with a 4 year old to WDW. Is there a special type of security registration offered? Do children wear special bracelets, tags?

    Hiya Sharon!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Fantastic question!  It's always a concern when traveling with a little one, or three, "What if they get lost?"  They fantastic thing is that  the Cast Members at Walt Disney World deal with these situations all the time, and reunites "lost" parents with children daily!

Other than their MagicBand they'll wear (if staying as a guest at a Walt Disney World Resort,) they're not provided with any identifying information.  You can buy bracelets, or tags that lace in their shoes that have their identifying information and your contact information such as your cell number.  You can google for sellers--they're quite common and easy to find.  You'll also need to make sure to teach your little one to show an adult where to locate this information if they're lost.  People also like to teach their kids what a Cast Member looks like, but it can be very difficult because their wardrobe can look so different, and trying to figure out what a name tag is when they're lost and scared can be hard.  I always told mine to look for a Mom.  They can usually spot those pretty easily.

Another great thing to tell them is to stop immediately as soon as they realize they are lost.  Freeze.  Don't move.  Don't wander!  Most likely you'll backtrack to them and find them, but if they wander around, it'll make the process much more difficult.  If they freeze and see a Mom that can get them help, it'll help start the process.

Before you head out for the parks in the morning, also make sure you take a picture of them with your phone or camera all ready to go--that way you'll have and exact description of what they're wearing right in your hands.

    Have a magical vacation!
