Kristin from MD Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

We are traveling with a 2 year old (will turn 3 right after our visit). He is large enough to ride the rides but not old enough to need a ticket. Will he still be able to ride if we don't get him a ticket? Will he be able to get into FastPass with us?

    Hi Kristin,

Thanks for dropping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm happy to answer your question about visiting Walt Disney World with your little guy.

As a special guest under the age of 3, your son won't need an admission ticket to the theme parks. He will be welcome to join you on any ride for which he meets the height requirements, including when you are using a FastPass+. Simply bring him with you into the queue. If a cast member asks, just explain that he is still 2 and doesn't have his own ticket.

He also will eat free if you are dining at any of the all-you-care-to-eat buffets or character meals, such as Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace or Boma. Let the host know he is still 2 when you are seated.

Please let us know, Kristin, if you have any other questions as you make your final plans. You may want to check out the Planning for Preschool Kids & Little Ones guide for a complete list of the ride and attractions guests of all ages can experience and for tips on making your vacation even more special for your small son. Enjoy!
