    I will be traveling with my 6 year old son. I wanted to find out what you recommend for the best "gear" or purse to carry with you at the parks--backpack, hip pack, purse?

    Hi Martha - I'd either recommend a small backpack, or a cross-body bag, depending on what you need to carry with you.  I don't like bringing a regular purse because the strap usually digs into my shoulder by the end of the day (and with the heat, can get quite uncomfortable).  If you have a Container Store near you, they have a great selection of travel bags that could definitely suit your needs. 

    Either way, keep in mind that you will do a lot of walking, so don't bring a bag that will weight you down.
