We are traveling with a 2 year old in march of 2016, does anyone know if they get a magic band also? Also, heard rave reviews over The Garden Grill, in Epcot, does anyone know if they take 1 or 2 meals? I've heard conflicting answers. Thanks!

    Hello Michelle,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question!

If you’re staying in a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, then, yes, your 2 year old will get a MagicBand, even if he or she doesn’t need to purchase Theme Park Admission. My son (a.k.a. the Lucky Duck) already owns 3 MagicBands and he’ll be getting two more before he turns 3! (Told you he was a Lucky Duck!)

As for The Garden Grill, you may have read some of my rave reviews about that Epcot dining experience! We absolutely love the character interactions and my son practically eats his weight in fish and chicken drumsticks (off the kids’ menu) whenever we visit. If I understand your question correctly, you’re wondering whether a meal there requires 1 or 2 Table Service Credits. I looked up The Garden Grill in the 2015 Disney Dining Plan Guide (go to "Character Dining" on page 4) and it seems as though you only need to use 1 Table Service Credit to dine there this year. I’ve found that this Guide is a really useful resource when trying to maximize the value of a Disney Dining Plan, so don’t forget to bookmark that page (or print a copy) for future reference.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and visit us if you have any more questions!

    Have a Magical Day,
