We are traveling with 2( just 18) year old girls. What activities, if any, can they participate in or are they just considered adults and don't have structured get togethers?

    Ahoy, Holly!

I can relate to traveling with teens -- it seems like I have a few with me at all times, and they present a unique challenge in keeping them entertained.  They are too old to be babysat, but they're sometimes too young to hang with older, single adults...especially if they are newly-turned-18 young women!

Here's what I suggest since you know them best...if the girls will have just graduated from high school (or are still in high school), I suggest registering them for the teen club and have them check it out once they are on board. The counselors do a great job of getting the kids involved but giving them their space, too. They also are brilliant at arranging activities and events for older teens who have common interests. The girls can have their own space to relax and get to know others without your having to watch over them.

On the other hand, if the girls are mature and/or they are out on their own now, they may feel confined by a teen club. They are legitimate adults and can enjoy all the adults-only areas such as the quiet pools/hot tubs, spas, restaurants and yes, even the bars, nightclubs and lounges. However, the minimum age to purchase and consume alcohol is 21.

You can consult your Personal Navigator once you're on board about specific activities geared toward their age group, and there are usually activities and events for every age and stage of life both on the ship as well as on Castaway Cay. Plus, booking active shore excursions is a great way to structure their time in a safe and secure environment. I think you'll find that the girls will have fun and make memories on their own as well as with you, too!

I hope you all have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
