Hi Michele,
It's so important to stay hydrated at
Walt Disney World! I'm a big water drinker myself and, honestly, I don't really like the taste (or the cost) of bottled water. I sometimes bring my own water bottle and refill it throughout the day. You can do that at water fountains throughout the parks. However, I find that they aren't always as cool as I would like.
Instead, most of the time I just ask for a free glass of ice water at one of the counter service restaurants. Some will give you a small cup, but most will provide the free ice water in the same large cups that they use for sodas. I'll sip on one until it's gone, then stop at another counter service location for a fresh cup.
You are welcome to bring food and drinks with you into the parks as well. If you have a stroller, you can tuck a small cooler with water or juice boxes into the storage basket for easy access. The only restriction is that no outside alcohol is allowed, and glass containers should be avoided. I know people who freeze bottles of water overnight, then sip from them throughout the day as they thaw so that they always have ice cold water available. (I'm not usually that organized.)
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michele. I hope that helps ease your worries about keeping your family hydrated without breaking the bank on your vacation. Please check back with us again if we can answer any more questions for you. Enjoy!
