We will be traveling with a 5 and 1 year old. When is the best time to visit Disney World? We want to visit the water parks too.

Welcome Jenna! Thanks for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
This is a very good question! I particularly prefer September or late April and early May for visiting the Walt Disney World Resort.
September is always my first option. It is still warm in Florida, you can enjoy the great swimming pools at Disney Resort Hotels and Disney Water Parks, and theme parks won’t be very busy as they tend to be in June, July and August. If you are planning your visit for late September, you will be able to enjoy Halloween decor at WDW and even participate in this very special event – Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
If you prefer traveling during Spring, late April and early May are also very good period alternatives for visiting WDW. Beautiful and sunny days in Orlando will invite you for relaxing by a swimming pool. Theme parks won’t be crowded yet and depending on when you go, you can experience memorable moments with your kids enjoying topiaries, gardens and exhibits at 2016 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.
Hope this information helps your planning. Come back again if you have further questions.
    Have a magical day!
