We are traveling with a 3 year old. Anything we should know about Pirate Night?

    Ahoy Patricia –

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are thrilled to hear about your trip plans on Disney Cruise Line with your toddler pirate. For Pirate Night, my toddler sea pup loved dressing up in his pirate gear and taking lots of cool photos with Pirate Mickey, Pirate Minnie and Jack Sparrow. He had a fun time at dinner where the cast members, servers and assistants are all dressed in pirate gear while serving up delicious Caribbean fare. Our particular little pirate does not have the stamina to last through all of the pirate celebrations, so pretty much after dinner, we check him into the Nursery and when he got older the Oceaneer Club.

There are 2 big shows – one of them is between the first and second dinner seating and the last one is later in the evening after both meals. The fantastic fireworks at sea are followed by Club Pirate which is an energetic dance party until the wee hours of the evening. My son usually goes to bed no later than 8:30PM so none of that was happening for him. If your toddler can party all night long, then keep that sea pup with you; however, you should plan on alternative care if needed. Great question Patricia and thanks for stopping by!
