We are traveling to The World at the end of September (24 days and anxiously counting), and are lucky enough to be staying concierge level at the AKL. Is there anything special we need to do when we check-in? Where do we go, etc.?

    Hi Brian,

Yes you are very lucky to be staying as a concierge guest at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.  My family truly enjoyed our experience staying as concierge guests at this resort last March.  Just wait until you see the lovely view of the lobby you will enjoy from the Kilimanjaro Club lounge in Jambo House!

When you arrive at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, go to the regular registration desk at Jambo House (not at Kidani Village).  Check in as any normal guest would on the left side of the lobby.  The Cast Member who checks you in will give you a card that will permit you access to the top floor.  There you will find the concierge lounge.  Feel free to enjoy the tasty snacks and beverages there.  You will also find Cast Members at the concierge desk at the entrance to this lounge.  They are there to help you plan tours, dining reservations, or any special experience with which you might need assistance.  Be sure to let them know if there's anything they can do to make your stay extra special.  You may want to consider signing up for one of the on site safari experiences that are reserved exclusively for concierge guests at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.  I've heard great feedback about the Sunrise Safari!

Wishing you a wild and wonderful adventure at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge next month!
