    We are traveling to the WORLD in August. As there will be 6 of us with the exception of two meals, how does the gratuity work? I know we are charged the 18% but we have the Dining plan. Is it an additional charge? THANKS!

    Hi, Elizabeth!

    Gratuities are not included with the Disney Dining Plan. You will receive a bill at the end of your meal with any "extras" you may have ordered during your meal (specialty drinks, appetizers) along with the gratuity. Parties of 6 or more will have an automatic gratuity of 18% added on,

    If you need the bill split between parties within your group, let your server know so 2 separate bills can be brought to your table at the end of your meal.

    A vacation in August sounds like fun! Something to look forward to this summer. It can get quite hot in late summer, so plan on afternoon breaks at the pool, and bring your sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat or visor. Have a magical vacation!
