Traveling in 6/09. Was wondering how busy/hot this time of year is? What is the best time of day to explore the parks and when should we relax at the pool? Just wondering how to plan our days? We are staying for 1 week at P.O.F.Q. DD is 5 so M.K.priority

Hi Natalia - I love Port Orleans French Quarter so I hope you enjoy it!  The average highs for June are in the high 80s/low 90s and lows are in the 70s, so it will likely be quite warm.  The crowd level would really depend on when in June you are traveling.  The parks are generally more crowded when students are out of school.

I would suggest that you visit the parks when they open.  The weather is at its coolest and the crowds will be at the lightest.  Enjoy the parks in the morning, eat lunch, and then head back to your resort.  The mid-afternoon time is the hottest, so it's a good time to relax by the pool.  Then, visit the parks again at dinner time.  At that point, the crowds will have thinned and it will be a bit cooler.

I hope that helps.  While you are at Port Orleans French Quarter, make sure you try the beignets in the food court -- they are delicious!
