Ahoy there, Flori!
Welcome aboard planDisney! It sounds like you’ve got one enchanting voyage coming up aboard
the Wish—and I couldn’t be more excited for you! With your sailing just around the corner, I bet you’re already dreaming of those gorgeous ocean views,
Broadway-style shows, and maybe even a Mickey ice cream bar (or three) by the pool!
Now, let’s chart a course through your passport question. Since your itinerary sails from and returns to Port Canaveral and only visits Nassau and Castaway Cay, this is considered a “closed-loop” cruise. That means U.S. citizens may sail with either a
passport or an original birth certificate along with a government-issued photo ID. But since you already have a passport—and it doesn’t expire until four months after your cruise—you’re in great shape! Captain Minnie would give you two thumbs up for being prepared.
You also mentioned that your Online Check-In is completed and has already been reviewed and accepted—fantastic! That’s one big step toward a smooth embarkation day. Just be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for any updates, reminders, or magical surprises before your sail date.
Now, just a friendly sailor-to-sailor tip from someone who’s charted a few nautical miles: While your passport is perfectly valid for this sailing, I always recommend renewing well in advance of the expiration date. Many international destinations—especially those outside of the Caribbean—require six months of validity beyond your travel dates. So if an adventure to Europe, Singapore, or even Australia is calling your name in the future, you’ll be ready to sail away with zero hiccups.
Your Disney Wish voyage is going to be one for the storybooks, filled with pixie-dusted memories, Castaway Cay dreams, and hopefully just the right amount of swashbuckling on
Pirate Night!
Sea ya real soon with a splash of April fun and a boatload of Disney magic,
Dustin
