We're traveling to WDW for our 7 year olds bday, her 2nd trip (our 10th? ) We also have 2 grandparents traveling with us. I'd like to make FUN dinner reservations . Child is a picky eater (American food is best). I'd also appreciate a glass of wine!

    Hi Alexis!

I like your style.  I generally  make a glass a wine a prerequisite for starting any post-park day with my two boys!  I try to pick table service restaurants that will entertain our kids so that I can actually enjoy that long-awaited glass of vino!  Some of my favorite "fun" picks include:

Ohana:  at this family-style restaurant,  your server will bring out heaping plates of skewered meats, yummy bread, and salad.  During dinner, Polynesian performers entertain the crowd with singing and silly games, including my all-time-favorite, which involves kids sweeping coconuts across the restaurant!

Chef Mickeys:  this is, what I consider to be, the quintessential character meal at Disney.  While you dine on a great buffet, Mickey and his pals make the rounds greeting guests.

Sci-Fi Dine In Theater:  while sitting in a 1950s-style convertible, you and your family will dine while watching old sci-fi shorts.  Don't worry, they are not scary at all.  In fact, my kids generally have a hard time eating because they are laughing so hard!

Whispering Canyons Cafe:  American food is complemented by the servers who carry on in a variety of hilarious antics at the expense of the guests!  It's all in good fun, and absolutely hilarious!

Coral Reef:  While dining on super fresh seafood, your family will be mesmerized by a giant, floor-to-ceiling tank filled with exotic sea life.  They provide kids with identification cards to help them recognize what they are looking at.  These little beauties tend to keep my kids entertained and quiet for quite a while!

    Bon Appetit!
