Traveling to WDW 7/3-7/8 w/twin 6 yr olds boys and a 1 yr old girl...would your recommend Polynesian or Animal Kingdom? We have stayed at animal kingdom before and loved it, but the convenience if being on the monorail is appealing. Thanks!

    Hi Meredith!

The Polynesian is one of my favorite Walt Disney World resorts.  We just love the tropical theme of the resort and the location cannot be better.  Our favorite park is the Magic Kingdom, so being on the monorail line is key for our family.  This perk alone is worth choosing this resort for your next vacation, especially if you have already stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge  (another favorite of mine).

Please be advised that the Polynesian is currently expanding to be part of the Disney Vacation Club, so you will run into some construction during your stay in July.  If any of the resort amenities are closed, there will be other options for your family.  For instance, Captain Cook's (the quick service restaurant) is currently closed until the summer, but a temporary quick service restaurant is open during remodeling.  You can do an internet search for construction scheduling to see if any of it will affect your stay.

    Have a magical day!
