Hey, howdy, hey Laura, and welcome to planDisney. It is always nice to help a fellow Georgian create the "practically, perfect in every way" Disney vacation. As someone with a family that needs dairy-free and kosher food, we tend to eat most of our meals in the vegetarian realm.
We have yet to experience a
restaurant unwilling to make vegetarian or
plant-based dining accommodations when available. Whether that was the unpublished plain salmon and rice at Yak & Yeti Restaurant in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and smaller portions of adult meals for pasta at Tony's Town Square at Magic Kingdom Park to the vegetarian lasagna at EPCOT's Garden Grill and plant based milkshake at Disney's Hollywood Studios Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, Cast Members have done whatever they can to help feed my family. Usually, we pay more than the cost of the kids' meal but it is worth it to have food our sons enjoyed. You may always ask the server or ask for the restaurant's chef if there is any accommodation you need.
If there are specific questions you need answered about certain restaurants and dishes or about special dietary needs prior to arrival, then you may contact
Special Diets at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com.
Laura, after enjoying the
Behind the Seeds tour at EPCOT, we know Walt Disney World Resort is committed to healthy dining options. I hope this information helps and please feel free to
write me back directly with any follow-up questions or for other Disney vacation planning tips.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
