We will be traveling to WDW for the 1st time on 25 Nov - 28 Nov 2015. We will be celebrating my daughter's sweet 16 birthday that is actually on Thanksgiving. Any suggestions for a kid her age to enjoy? Dining, shopping, attractions?

    Hello, Tacaesa,

May I be the first to wish your daughter an early sweet 16?  Of course, I think she's celebrating at a perfect place! Would you believe that this summer, the Disney Park Moms Panel actually answered a similar question that was answered by a panel of moms, so I thought it would be a great place to start your planning.

In addition to those ideas, I thought I'd suggest a few options for a special dinner. The California Grill has spectacular views of all of Walt Disney World as well a delicious menu. If you really want to go all out, Victoria & Albert's epitomizes an evening of elegance and fine dining. For something completely different, Whispering Canyon Cafe is a knee-slapping laugh out loud experience where the wait staff may have some fun celebrating your daughter's birthday. You can also order a speciality cake to be served with dinner at any of the table-service restaurants by calling 407-827-2253 beforehand.

If you'd like an unforgettable surprise for her, you can also order birthday gifts/packages through Disney Floral & Gifts. And finally, don't forget to pick up a complimentary Happy Birthday button at Guest Relations at any of the parks so others can wish her a Happy Birthday!

May your trip and birthday celebration be filled with many unforgettable memories! -Kara
