Traveling to WDW for 2nd time as a family of 4 (kids aged 3 and 7) and mother-in-law wants to join us. We would like to NOT be in the same room, perhaps a suite or 2 rooms. We do not want Value resort or Fort Wilderness. Ideas? Suite or two rooms?”
Hi Marci!
I think it "get it" *wink, wink*! So, you want to keep your distance from "Mother-in-law", huh? I'm just teasing! What a great opportunity for the family to spend some quality time together - no better place than Walt Disney World!
My immediate family of four travels to Walt Disney World with my parents quite often, and we have found the best solution for us is to stay in one of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) 2-Bedroom Villas. You don't have to be a member of the DVC to reserve these luxurious and spacious suites.
These villas are available at the following Disney Resorts: Contemporary Resort, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge, Old Key West Resort, Saratoga Springs Resort, The Beach Club Resort, and The Boardwalk Inn.
Each of the 2 Bedroom villas includes a Master Bedroom suite, with a king-sized bed, bathroom with a jacuzzi tub & separate shower, washer & dryer, full kitchen, and living room with a pull-out queen-sized sofa bed (great for the kids!). In addition, there is an attached studio, separated by a door, which includes a queen-sized bed, pull-out queen-sized sofa bed, bathroom, and kitchenette (small fridge, microwave, and sink). They each have their own balcony or porch.
The great thing is that you will each have your privacy, but can also stay connected and share the living/kitchen space!
I hope this is helpful, and that you find the perfect spot for your entire family to enjoy!
