Hi, we're traveling to WDW for our 1st time in the end of April. We are thinking of staying at the Grand Floridian, but have a 4 and 6 y/o and was wondering if we should choose a more kid friendly resort because fo their ages? Thanks!

Staying at the Grand Floridian with a 4 and 6 year old will be fun!   There are so many features of the Grand Floridian perfect for kids.  I have always found it to be very child friendly when staying there with my kids.

The Beach Pool will be fun for your family.  With a zero-depth entry, this pool is great for the little ones.  It even has a slide for the adventurous kids!

Gasparilla Grill and Games is a counter service restaurant great for a quick bite to eat.  You can even sit outside of the restaurant and have a great view of Cinderella Castle.  There is also 1900 Park Fare where you can dine with Mary Poppins, Cinderella, and others.

Your evenings can be topped off by sitting on the beach and watching the Electric Water Pageant .  Ask at the front desk for exact times, usually between 9:00 p.m. - 9:15 p.m.

And, the one of the best features of the Grand Floridian:  being only one monorail stop away from the Magic Kingdom!

You have a lot of great resort options, so choose what will work best for your family, but the Grand Floridian is absolutely wonderful!  Have fun planning your vacation.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
