We are traveling to WDW staying at the AK with my 2 year old son. I have purchased the dining plan can anyone suggest a few good resteraunts for dinner that has good food and is appropriate for a toddler? He is usually well behaved at resteraunts.

    Hi Jen --

The great thing about Walt Disney World is that almost every restaurant is toddler-friendly.  However, some restaurants are more interesting for the toddler set than others.  Some of my favorites that your family might enjoy are:

    • Boma - right in the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  This is a buffet restaurant where you can sample the many flavors of Africa.  Chefs are on hand to answer questions about your food options, and their are many delicious items to try.  If your two year old's palate isn't as sophisticated -- no worries -- there is also spaghetti and chicken fingers available.
    • Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom -- It's a character dinner featuring Winnie the Pooh and friends.  The character interaction is great, and the food is delicious.
    • Coral Reef at Epcot - The aquarium at this restaurant is 8 feet high, and the seating is tiered so that everyone can enjoy the view.
    • 50's Prime Time Cafe at Hollywood Studios - Ask for a "TV Table" where you can watch clips from popular 50's TV shows like "Father Knows Best" or "The Mickey Mouse Club".  The dessert menu is on a View Master reel, a feature that my 2 year old daughter really enjoyed.
    • Chef Mickey's at Contemporary Resort -- just a fun dining experience for everyone.
    • 'Ohana at the Polynesian Resort -- food is served family style and there are games and storytellers during dinner.

Hope this helps get you started.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
