Traveling to wdw spring 2019. Ideally I want to avoid spring break-when is this likely to be? Would we avoid it if we travel end April?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Heather!

Springtime is a magical time for a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! The weather is comfortable, and spring is in the air. Especially at Epcot where the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is in full bloom!

Heather, spring break schedules vary throughout the school districts in the country so there’s not a solid week that will be the official spring break for all. That being said, there are some times when there will be an upsurge in attendance during the months of spring for various reasons; like school breaks and the Easter holiday.

The way I try to avoid those extra-busy seasons is by checking crowd calendars online to see what they are predicting will be a better week to visit. These crowd calendars are in fact mere predictions and they’re not always accurate. But for the most part, they track attendance efficiently by looking at historical data and any relevant events during specific dates. You can find many different third-party sites that offer crowd calendars by doing a quick search. My personal favorite is Undercover Tourist.

It’s always best to remember that no matter how busy, a day at the most magical place on earth is better than a day anywhere else! And with some smart planning, you can have a truly enchanted visit.

I hope this information is helpful! For any additional questions or planning tips, be sure to stop by.

    See ya real soon!
