Traveling to wdw in Sept 2014 with husband and(then) 4 yr olds. Any recommendations for moderate hotels?

    Hi Ashley,

So glad you stopped by with your question. Deciding on a resort for your vacation is a very important piece of the planning puzzle, so I hope I can offer some suggestions to help in that process.

I am going to give you two recommendations based on different criteria. Since I am not sure if you will be traveling with boys or girls, I'll offer two different perspectives. My first recommendation would be a "Royal Room" at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort. These rooms are perfect for little princesses as they are themed to look like you are a royal guest of Tiana. The magical touches in these rooms are so unique and special. There is a select number of these rooms and you must specifically reserve this room type. This resort is also one of my favorites based on his quiet southern charm and fun activities such as surrey bike rentals and fishing. This resort is closest to Downtown Disney, but is still very accessible to the other theme parks via Disney transportation.

On the other hand, if you have boys, I would suggest a "Pirate Room" at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Like the royal rooms, these rooms are fantastically detailed with the pirate swashbuckling spirit. I absolutely love the pool at this resort. It is fashioned after a Spanish fort in the Caribbean and has a fun waterslide and water cannons. Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios are closest to this resort, but again, the other theme parks and Downtown Disney are simply a bus ride away!

I hope your planning is magical and the trip filled with lifelong memories together.
